In case you haven't seen it Google recently published a very useful AdWords workbook called "The Maximum Effect". They describe it as containing the best tips for maximising AdWords campaigns based on Google's observations of thousands of AdWord campaigns by clients.

A 41 page PDF with lots of examples including dynamic keyword insertion in ad titles.

Sweet - Did they do this to kill the sales of the paid guides or atleast effect the sales?

great find.

No kidding. I didn't even know this was out there yet. ;)

This particular document is not on the 'Tutorials and Guides' page yet, but it is worth mentioning that page anyway, because I suspect not many advertisers have found it.

The 'Tutorials and Guides' page is where, uhm, Tutorials and Guides will be available over time, as they are developed. And the T&G page may be found here:

[adwords.google.com...]

Or, you can get to the page by following this path from within your account:

Help (top right of every page in your account) > Tutorials and Guides (over towards the left, under the FAQ link.)

Sweet - Did they do this to kill the sales of the paid guides or atleast effect the sales?

Nah. Here's my guess as to why: it is to everyone's advantage to have advertisers know how to get the best out of AdWords!

Biggles, Great find.

AWA,

A while ago, a link was posted to an adwords news article, that wasn't linked to from the library link you posted above, and you were going to check and see if there was a page that was an index of all the adwords publishing stuff. Any chance you ever found it?

eWhisper,

Ah, thanks for the 'bump'.

The 'tips' document you are referring to was actually a marketing piece sent out in various formats, including as a link from an email.

It was not a document intended to be published on the AdWords site, and never was included there.

Sorry to have forgotten.
