Content targetting has to be closely watched. I look out for ads that receive thousands of impressions per day, then try to isolate where they're being shown.

I've got ads rotating on about.com pages, Tucows, and an important forum that gives me great branding for an informational site, and qualified buyers for another website.

I'm constantly on the lookout for those ads that generate thousands of impressions on content spaces, but minimal searches- those are the ones I keep- and dial down to five cents.

You have to weed out the stuff that doesn't work, not only content targetting but negatives etc.

Content targetting can work for you.

The branding is a great idea, but how do you do it to not get click throughs. Hence get the branding but not the costs, whilst also not getting the account disabled?

Since content sites aren't counting in the CTR for being disabled, that isn't a problem most of the time.

doug,

your testing me here mate.

had your other telephone not started ringing whilst we were talking earlier, than you wou would have known.

its NOT about trying to get low CTR, more about writing a creative for branding purposes.

the 2 are compltely different thing.
