Just curious how Google does regional targeting for the United States. Sounds like a very neat trick to me, but I don't get how they could do this.

Hey hudson,

Lots of info available on this subject from within your account. In the Campaign Summary page, look towards the top and you will see a paragraph starting with "New! Enhance your U.S. targeting."

Follow the "Learn more" link to, well, learn more. :)

Bottom line: it works by delivering ads to those with an IP address which is identifiable as being within the region(s) you have targeted.
