I just answered 2/3 of your question in another post a few seconds ago, but without seeing this post first.

Ok, back again. In that other post, I said:

There are some suggested limits regarding keywords, which if exceeded may cause sluggish navigation, and other issues.

These suggested limits are:

* 100 Ad Groups per campaign.

* Maximum of 2000 keywords per campaign, counted over all Ad Groups.

* Maximum of 750 keywords for a single Ad Group (while still keeping in mind the above mentioned max of 2000 per campaign).

To this, I would add:

* Limit of 25 campaigns per account.

Thanks for the kind words, btw. It is sort of shocking to know that I am being mentioned by people thousands of miles away, that I've met only over the Internet, and never in person. Cool, too. ;)

There's a max of 2,000 keywords per adgroup. I got a bunch of 1,500 keyword adgroups in a campaign. I do notice it gets a bit sluggish when you try to estimate on the keywords, but otherwise no problems.

You really really sure about this? At the bottom, I see a SHOW (drop down list with numbers 30, 50, 100, 500) ROWS PER PAGE. So I always assumed that you can put in 500 AdGroups per campaign.

thanks for info
i am a very small minute adwords user compared with many on here , just a quicky re fraudulent clicks , mine are usually between 1% to 7% when i see major change i.e. 20%+ i usually pause campagn , suspect if i was big spender would contact google but as small spender try to use some self defence or should i expect that type of major swing

I think you're thinking of the drop down list under the list of keywords within an Ad Group, rather than under the list of Ad Groups within a campaign.

I'll double check this later - but am about 99.8% certain.

Well I've learned something today, vibgyor79. You are absolutely correct. Did a little looking around today, and I see exactly what you mean.

So much for 99.8% assurance!

Pinged one of my tech contacts to ask about the apparent contradiction, and will post later with what I learn. Kinda late today to hear back, so Monday most likely.

I am currently trying to get all my campaigns down to 20 words or less...so so true ;-)

but I do like the 25 - 50% CTR of one hit wonders

First time I had a campaign at 20%CTR, I thought a competetor was clicking rabidly on my ads! Then I realized they were converting! lol, you just hit some things right.
