I know there's been a lot of talk about using the Google toolbar possibly "suggesting" URL's to the Googlebot.

Is there any official connection to Adwords URL's and Googlebot crawls?

I had an otherwise un-linked and un-submitted site just get crawled by Googlebot. I would've dismissed it as someone else submitting the URL, but the entry point was the URL used in a Adword select ad.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I guess you can't get to 3 billion pages without being a little voracious.

Nope nope nope. No connection between advertising (either pro or con) and getting crawled. There are lots of ways that a "secret" site could get crawled.
See [google.com...] :)

What should we do if an automated resource is found hitting an ad? We've found evidence that someone may be doing this...?
