I have opted out of the content network (but not the search network) because I had the feeling that the conversion rate was close to zero for visitors coming from content sites.

While browsing through the links on google that point to my website I found that on two pages on Amazon.com my ad is showing (under "Customers interested in this title may also be interested in"). One page is totally unrelated to our product, so all the click throughs from that page are wasted money.

Does Amazon.com belong to the search network or what? This is very strange to me.

Amazon is considered a search site (since most people search amazon, not browse), not a content site. You will need to uncheck the box beside the "search sites in Google’s network" in your campaign settings.

Wow, a person has to move fast around here if they intend to spill the beans! ;)

Thanks for the spilling, Jenstar, as well as for the correct answer.

BTW, speaking of moving faster, I've just heard good news. Starting in a couple of weeks, I'll be able to spend more time posting in this forum. I hope to arrange things so that I can post for an hour or so in the morning, and an hour or so in the evening, M thru F.

Can't wait!

You mean they sacked ya :)

Only kidding...

Its a pleasure having you around, and very helpful for both sides to have a point of feedback.

Along the same lines, is About.com considered content or search? Is there anywhere to get a complete list of search sites?
