Ad gone missing

Have we been banned from Adwords?

After a year and a half of advertising our Adwords ad just disappeared from the search results. We went from over 200 clicks a day to not even 1 during the last three days. I have tried to pull the ad up and nothing.

I checked the obvious... my account is paid, my account is active... and my site is not down. I tried to contact them... but no response yet and it has been nearly 24 hours.

I think in light of all the money they rake in from us advertisers that they could at least offer phone support.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Does anyone know why and what I can do to fix it?

Thanks in advance for your help!

They do have a phone number. According to this thread [webmasterworld.com], the number is 1-866-2GOOGLE

Have you checked to see the Ending Date on your Campaign? That has caused some confusion in the past, and would make your ads stop showing altogether. If thats not it, I'd call. There has never been a wait to talk to someone when I call the US Support #.

Best of luck getting your ads back up.

Thank you guys... I looked all over the customer center and could not find a phone number anywhere.

I called then number you gave me (thank you)and got an answer right away... they said that the ads are reviewed by an editor every X number of hours and that my ad had hit the X number and was suspended until it could be reviewed.

It was back online within a half hour after calling.

Thank God.

Hi 5stars, glad your ads are running again!

Just a couple of quick notes: If you ever forget the toll free number to reach the AdWords team, then simply call Google's Main number. About 20 seconds into the recorded message, it gives you the 1.866.2google number.

Also, in your post you wrote:

...they said that the ads are reviewed by an editor every X number of hours and that my ad had hit the X number and was suspended until it could be reviewed.

This is not precisely correct. In order to monitor ad quality, AdWords Editors review all campaigns after they accrue 100,000 impressions. Thus, it is impressions rather than hours that matter.

So, if a campaign has accrued more than 100,000 impressions and has not yet been reviewed, it will be put on hold until the review can take place. These ads are checked as a priority, as quickly as possible.

How could we know if an ad/campaign has been reviewed or not?

Anybody knows what they need to know? I mean what is Good and what is BAD. It would be good to know for all here.
