Is it possible to find out the top or other adretiser bids within the google adwords program?

[keyword] ** 40

in your keyword list and click on estimate.

I tried that and it doesnt do anything other than maximize your CPC to $40.00? What do you mean?

The estimated cost (if it shows position one for that keyword) is 1cent higher then the top bid.
