WHen your credit card denies in Adwords, I notice the CTR resets itself to the average CTR. Does the same theory apply when you pause the campaign?

>>> when you pause the campaign?

Pausing the campaign will not adversely affect your CTR.

We use a debit card, and occasionally it's denied as funds aren't available (where is the prepay function in Google...). Our CTR is not reset when we add funds and reactivate the account. Our current position and everything else is maintained as if the campaign were paused. Not sure why you're getting a reset CTR, might want to take a closer look into it.

You're correct eWhisper.

If I had to hazard a guess, Eternity, it'd be that you're looking at your stats for a date range that doesn't include the present day.

It's worth remembering that the date range tool setting is 'sticky' and remains where you set it last - even after you've logged out and back in.

I've taught myself the habit of continually glancing at the date range, every five minutes or so, as I work with advertisers. It's now second nature - sort of like looking in the rear view mirror while driving.
