What's this?

I was testing some searches on groups.google.com , and they have 3 AdWords on the page. Our ads always have googleadservices.com in the redirect URL, while the other 2 ads start with groups.google.com. What's that all about?

groups.google.com is the newsgroup service that G bought that used to be called DejaNews.

No, I mean why would one ad use a googleadservices.com?=www.site1.com/yadda redirect, and the others would use a groups.google.com?=www.site2.com/yadda redirect? What are they tracking?

I know that's the domain they are using for the tracking image used with the new Conversion/ROI measurement service they recently launched.

Are you using that service?

LMAO, that's it. (I'm using it temporarily to compare to my own data.)

Thanks. Had a brain cramp there.
