I have an ad.
I have a bunch of keywords for the ad.
For some keywords i want phrase "keyword"
Other keywords i want exact [keyword]
Broad in now the default.
I click Change your keyword matching options then my options are:
Choose match types:
Change all broad match to either broad, phrase, or exact.
Totally confused. What do i need to do to have my ads run the way they did.
[widget]
[blue widget]
"widgets"
I want it to stay like that, but with broad match it could show for all sorts of keywords related to widgets. It's now the default. And the way its worded you can change the Broad Match to either Phrase or Exact, but it doesn't say if you can have some exact and phrase keywords for the same ad.
From the page after you login:
"Broad matching now includes an expanded matching capability. If you haven't already done so, now is a good time to take a look at some of your potential matches. If some of the additional keywords aren't right for your account, add them as negative keywords. If you prefer not to have your keywords automatically expanded, you can change from broad matching to phrase or exact matching."
Thats where i'm confused, its now broad match which i don't want, and you can change it to phrase or exact matching. I want both for some ads but according to the wording you can only change all your keywords to either phrase or exact.
