I created a new ad words account yesterday and guess what?
a raise in the activation fee of $5 bucks to $10,
they doubled it,, and further, this new account could
not go below 8 cents from the normal 5,,,
i logged on to my old account and found no changes?

Is google just waiting to slap the 8 cents on us old guys?

marketingmaniac, I am guessing that the second account you mention is not billed in US dollars. If not, therein lies the difference, which is due to currency conversion rates.
