How long (or # of impressions) till you see realistic results?

A sure "winner" ad not performing well after a weekend. What gives?

I have a long running successful ad on adwords. I know I can make it even more successful, and added a few sure fire upgrades (after studying the WWW adwords forum). Let it run this entire weekend and CTR is down 2%!

Has anyone seen these results early on in a campaign, or is my ad just not a winner like I thought? I've had several thousand impressions and still a lower CTR. What gives?

Could it be that it is just the weekend effect? Seems like sometimes the decreased weekend traffic leads to goofy CTR (often lower) changes for me. Maybe webmasters and bots are still surfing, but the buyers are not (as much) on weekends.

Just check whether your ads are being displayed in the partner sites. If you have changed the ad copy, Google will yank it off from the partner sites until it is reviewed and approved by the editors.

I tend to agree with Widget. Your timing is off. A weekend at the end of a month is the worst possible time to test a new Ad. The beginning of a month is a much better time.
