Google content ads

Has anyone had a problem recently?

We saw a surge of questionable content-related traffic this week. For anyone who has their Content AdWords enabled, have you seen odd surges as well? For us it was around a 20% swing, and when I look at the userlogs, these are phantom clicks, the kind of activity I don't associate with AdWords.

I don't really like to contact Google for the same reason I don't like to contact Overture -- you tell them about something, and then all of a sudden they're reviewing your account and they edit or delete something. What I'm hoping, and expecting, is that this happened to someone else, and they'll be contacting Google. I like to stay under the radar with these folks, too unpredictable, even when you do everything they tell you to do. Easier to just disable content until the IP is removed from AdSense.

FWIW, this activity stopped. Someone else must have reported them.

We had a surge but with real clicks, no phantoms. They probably added some new relevant adsense sites, haven't checked the logs yet...
