I must admit I'm new to Adwords, and was stunned, blown away, when I noticed that they were checking EVERYTHING about my campaign.

They shut down some ads for being "superlative", "grammar", "incorrect pricing" - so basically they looked in detail at every single ad, every single keyword, every single destination URL (they matched the prices).

How can they do this with thousands of customers?

It has to be automated with a stop words DB that then flag up ads and accounts for human intervention.

If they are really using automated systems, then it should not let the advertisers submit the ad if something is wrong. I personally feel all these checks are done manually.

Army of monkeys, lots of cheap part timers with checklists. That's why you often get the inflexibility with acronyms not being allowed all upper and that stuff.

yep agree with engine, tell adwords something is "free" if you don't land on the page with the free product you will get pulled.

database of keywords that would make a nice list. maybe we should start one shak you go first.
