Reasons for AdWords ads not showing

I created an AdWords campaign yesterday and for a few houres the ads was delivered very sporadically on Google for relevant keywords. After 20 impressions the ads has not been shown for the last 24 houres.

Initially the ads conflicted with the AdWords editorial guidelines, but this was quickly fixed. (Repeated words.) Could this be the reason the ads are not showing, perhaps pending some form of manual review?

The daily budget is OK according to Google and I even set the Maximum CPC above the suggested value. The Ad is not written in English and is not related to X-rated stuff.

If it is a specific industry you may have to follow additional rules. Such as having certain text/disclaimers on the landing page.

Things I have noticed are "widget" does not show but "wid get" will show up on all searches. Then they email me 3 days later saying I am in violation, telling me what is wrong, and then I fix it.

My theory is that "widget" sets flags and calls for a hand edit, and "wid get" flies below the radar, but will be pulled down with the rest of the group.

If you do not hear from them within 3 days I would email or call.

It now seems my AdWords account has been locked. I created a new campaign as a test and I am unable to get get any impressions at all. Also no more impressions reported for the old campaign. (They did not overlap with respect to keywords.)

No word from Google yet, but I am watching my mailbox.

I got an email from Google saying that the campaign had reached its impression limit. The campaign had been suspened for a manual review. Ads are showing now.
