Has anyone paid to get listed on dotukdirectory.co.uk.

If so how much traffic are you getting, and is it worth the £40.00.

Hi lloyd I have not heard of or used this one before.

At that price I might get clients in there.

Looking at the structure it seems they are not passing any PR to listed sites unless I am mistaken so a listing my only be worth direct traffic and a low low link if at all.

Would be interested to hear what others think.

First the "forever" claim on their homepage .. they cannot support that claim so it looks amateurish to me ...
cannot guarantee forever at all - saying a one time fee rather than an annual sub is more straight forward and allows them the option to close the business if it fails. At the moment if it fails or they start site 2 taking site 1 down - to get us to pay again - we can all make complaints to them because forever was not.

I dont thing commercially experienced people would have written that so it may be computer techies that are behind it.

Second the links .. all go through the cgi-bin some kind of script .. so may (advise please those that know :-) not be crawlable by robots or pass PR onwards.

However thirdly well I know some of those sites listed in various categories I operate in so perhaps in case it has an effect I might get clients listed there.

Will watch to see what others say.

Too right - forget the link PR on this one. However they do have a 94,000 alexa rating which is slightly lower than my site - so around 400,000 impressions per month?

Could be worth it for a few click throughs if you get in the right categories.

Its part of the "@ click" network, I've submitted just a few days ago, and will report back when/if I see some results.

I'll be interested to see what traffic you get from it, good luck :)
