MSN.co.uk Search blocked by ZoneAlarm Privacy Facility

Block private headers is the culprit

I was just doing some lookups on MSN.co.uk and it appears that you need to have to allow ActiveX to get the search results.

Is this just a temporary glitch or have MSN really lost the plot and are now forcing people to download activeX controls to get their search results?

Seems to work fine for me. Is it still playing up?

Hmm still playing up here, it could be my Zone Alarm privacy policy that is causing it.

Yes your right, I have ActiveX disabled, if you do a search it takes you back to the home page instead of the search results.

Hmmmm, for me it seems to work fine on IE6 with active x disabled.

I have IE6 with java disabled as well, could be the java rather than ActiveX

I have java working and get the problem, and I wouldn't have thought that MS would have gone for java over activex

Appears to be Zone Alarm disabling some script actions - I get the same (search -> back to homepage) with Zone Alarm turned on.

I have identified it as being Zone Alarm privacy - if 'Block Private Headers' is set you get the return to homepage behaviour, clearing this flag will restore behaviour to normal.
