Where do MSN results come from

I'm really baffled where an earth
are the results as shown in MSN search from?

Does anyone know for definite?

Some of the links are from Inkotomi, but the others I have
do idea, they are clearly not from google.

Generally if you are not willing to PPC direct to MSN or Overture then Ink and Looksmart are the best options depending on what results are returned for a given search term.
