No overall change in the income for Affiliates after Espotting price rise.

One of the matters that I was interested in recently was the effect of the Espotting minimum bid increase from 5p to 10p on the income to their affiliates and Espotting themselves.

From the data I have seen, the effects have been very limited.

Firstly there does appear to have been a drop in the number of searches that provide Espotting matches. Thus the clicks/search ratio has dropped by about 15-20%.

Secondly, as expected, the average cost per click has risen by about 15-20%.

So the overall net effect has been negligible. However, I imagine that the costs for Espotting have been significantly reduced, since they have 15-20% less listings to check/edit.

Hi

Noticed the same, except I suspect accounts are draining and will not be replenished, so less bids over the next few months.

Good point, I hadn't considered that. Still, it has been a month and a half, and there hasn't been any significant impact yet.
