Affiliate Links and Google in UK

If you go thru an affiliate company like TD or CJ, do the links you get from these help your ranking on Google (Link popularity.)

As far as I know TD don't offer links back

The links you get from these networks are normally within the logon part of the site. As googlebot does not logon I would imagine that the links have no effect on your rankings.

CJ do have links to merchants from within their public site, but trying to get one of these must be very hard.

I have a program on TD and they have no links from their public site to us (as far as I’m aware), also being with TD has not helped with Google ranking at all.
