Hi
I have a client who wants to get into Y! UK.

Does the old rule of thumb about the Editors checking it in Netscape 4 still hold? It just dies in NN4..

Works fine in everything else though.

Its an ok site with quite a lot of content, but the Netscape 4 thing worries me.

Am I risking £200?
TIA
J

PS - This forum seemed more appropriate than the main Y! one so apologies Mods if I've posted in the wrong place :)

Can't really give advice for the specifics of UK Y!, sure someone else will come along shortly.
From my experience however this rule does not apply to paid for inclusion sites. Actually it's amazing what shortcomings in usability the editors readily let pass on Biz Express sites.

Last year I had a site knocked back for this, but they give you a chance to fix it and try again without extra cost. Saying this the last 2 times I submit a site they said nothing and it was added straight away. No idea if that was because they where fine or they didn't check.

I would at least try and make sure your site works with the latest Netscape and IE fully after all its just good design.

Thats what I was afraid of. Its a big corporate site thats just not meant to be changed & won't be :(

Its fine with the latest IE & NN, but NN4?
Any more opinions?
