Hi, I wrote a submission document for our clients last year. I'd just like to check here to see what is still true/worthwile etc.
CRAWLERS: Google (free),
Inktomi – use HotBot - First URL $39.00 (one off cost).
FAST Search: £ 35 year
Teoma - £30 1 year.
Atlavista - £39 for 6 months
Overture- $50 deposit and $30 month.
Wisenut - free
Norther ligh - free
direct hit - free.

Directories:
Yahoo £300 (am i right that this is now pointless?)
Looksmart $299
Dmoz Free (most important)

Any pointers on which engines/directories are most important for a Blue Chip client much appreciated.

sorry about the delay.

Is Yahoo still very important then, i was under the impression that it used googles listings?

For askJeeves should we use PositionTech to submit the site?

Some would disagree, but I say it's still very important.

Yahoo are using Google's results at the moment

For a UK site I would recommend INK still, and yeah you can do AJ via positiontech now.
