What is happening at Yahoo.co.uk?

They hadn’t followed the .com version by using Google results as their default results and then bang…they start using Google results as their default results.

What is the point in using Yahoo anymore. None, might as well go straight to Google. Why try and become a SE when you are a directory. Okay it is only one extra click away from using the Directory, but they are going to lose out on this.

And have they wasted money purchasing Inktomi (Yahoo.com), probably, unless they drop Google.

AltaVista and Yahoo are dead, long live Google

I think we are in for a lot more in the way of yahoo changes how that have aquired inktomi.

I think 2003 is going to be a pretty interesting year for the search industry.

It has been said in the past that Yahoo is on the way out as a mainstream search property... what we now have to remember is they own yahoo, they own inktomi and then own 10% of Google. I sure wouldent mind being in Yahoo's shoes now :)
