Heh, weird! No problems here ever, freeserve in the uk...

Just one small point, the topic says "English Users Seeing Glitched Google Logos", when in fact it means "UK Users Seeing Glitched Google Logos"... it may seem pedantic, but I know that lots of Scots, Welsh and Northen Irish get rubbed up the wrong way when English is used instead of The United Kingdom (or plain old UK). Please people, only use 'English' when you mean people from England.

Cheers :-)

Okay, if NTL is your ISP, please feel free to contact NTL if you're still seeing problems with images on Google. :) Again, this is a problem that very few users are seeing. We're talking to the ISP as well, but a couple extra user reports might help them find which caching server has the problem.

You got through, to NTL, wow :)

I know some people there I'll give them a call.

I've been in contact with NTL. My friend did not get the clearance the clear the cache and I've had no response through the proper channels.

Anyone have a decent email address?

GoogleGuy, how did you get in contact with NT-Hell?

When it impacts the experience of using Google, we try pretty hard to contact people. :)

Has anyone seen any problems after now? Several people think it's fixed for them now--just wanted to see if anyone else was still seeing problems.

Yes, I'm getting them on both google.com and google.co.uk when using a Virginet account, but not when using a Demon account. They're also different flags on .com and .co.uk

The NTL problem is fixed, don't know about the other ISP's.

This is still happening for me using Google.co.uk - seeing an Argentinian flag in the Google logo (http://www.wiredupwales.com/capture.jpg).

My ISP is also NTL, and I seem to have been using the Inktomi cache (inktomi1-swa.server.ntlworld.com)for about a week - during which time there have been multiple problems.

Right now I'm seeing the Austrian flag partly covering the google logo on www.google.com. It used to be the Argentinian flag for the past few days.

No probs on BTOpenwoe, must be a first :-)

BTW.. with regards to Demon, I know they've been having caching probs as I tried to move a domain from them for a client a short while ago. When doing so I learnt they had 2 dns cache and 3 web cache servers that were not refreshing as they should.

I've still got the problem through NTL even though I've just cleared my TIF (Temporary Internet Files).

Virgin just resell NTL web services to people with BT phone lines, so when you use Virgin it really is NTL that is your ISP.

Mine are back too.

Still strikes me as a little strange, only affecting Google, not seen the problem on any other site.

Hello, glad it's not just me affected by this. I installed my NTL cable modem about 3 weeks ago and have been getting distorted images ever since, it did help switching to a proxy server for about a day but then they became affected. The server I am on now is cache5-leed.server.ntli.net

An example of my google misery is here:

[ps2replay.com...]

Tried all the usual stuff like clearing my TIF to no avail, I use google at least 20 times a day and this is putting me off now.

NtHell CLAIM to have cleared their cache, however, I'm still getting the flags and I've known for them to say stuff without actually doing anything.

I was also getting these glitches on www.co.uk and .com. I found out ( by means of a "typo") that they don't happen (yet?) if you only use 2 Ws. i.e. WW.google.co.uk instead of WWW.google.co.uk.
