I have been away developing for a couple of months and now have a number of new sites to promote, but it seems that my previous routine of website promotion is now completely out of date!

I now face the daunting task of spending days trying to fathom out what is going on and where best to spend my compact advertising budget.

As the whole SE world moves so quickly, with partners seemingly being dropped and made almost daily, prices changing and SE popularity see-sawing I was just wondering if there is anyone or any company out there that summarises the current activities of all the main players in a detailed (but to the point) report? Basically all I ask is 10,000 pages of this great forum compressed into 20!

I'd pay a subscription for something like that... does such thing exist, or am I just wishing?

Marcia wrote a comprehensive list not too long ago, it should be able to be found in the site search, and provides a summary of the main players where you "must be" listed.

There are also periodic threads focusing on each country and their respective SE's and directories....ie searching for UK Search engines/directories should get you halfway there at least.....

The information is there, it just cant all fit on to the active list :)
