I've noticed that the bid gaps on Espotting are much larger than most I've seen on Overture. (This is before the new autobid system was introduced). Does anyone have an opinion to why this is or on Overture's new system.

I don't see it on my clients, but then most are bidding for close to minimum anyway.
Anyone else notice this?

In a lot of cases the reason for the large gaps is due to two bidders going head to head, one on Auto Pilot and the other manually. Eventually it gets to the stage where one party bails out leaving the other stranded bidding higher than they need to. We do the snakes and ladders game from time to time to maintain positions, but eventually it's more cost effective to concede a place for much less money and it can take quite a while for the other party to catch on.
