The bad news about this is that to get a good listing on MSN.co.uk you may have to start thinking of using the now ridiculous Loooksmart.com, Small Business Listing.
Does anyone know who is providing the results these days or are MSN.co.uk using their own algorithms now. Which databases/directories are providing results for the Web Directory Sites Results.
Over/Ink are giving the results in the Web Directory Sites section. I think not. Elsewhere in MSN.co.uk, probably.
I have seen this on one of the other forums, which makes interesting reading, if not slightly worrying.

I didn't specifically refer to any section of MSN.
Depending upon the search you perform you get differing results.
Scroll down past the featured sites (MSN ads), the sponsored sites (Overture) the web directory listings (Looksmart UK first then US second) to the web pages - I'm seeing Ink redirects on the serps.
You gotta go a long way down to get the first Ink data for some searches.
It means you got to think very carefully about what service you employ to deliver your site. The filtered results in MSN UK mean that it's not worth some LS US listings, but, again, it depends upon the specific search and target KW.
same idea as zeal.com but powering UK results. I'm considering managing some categories there if I have time...I'm already a Zealot in the US version.
With regard to LS, strictly speaking, you are supposed to only have one listing in either one or the other. OTHOH if you "pay" you can probably get any listing. ;)
As far as MSN UK is concerned, the worst case is a competitive site having a listing in the INK in-fill. You'd be so far down the list as not to worth it.
