Apparently they are affiliated with '150 other companies' although they were only able to give me 2 examples.

Has anybody got any experience of ThomWeb?
In addition to the local telephone directory and internet directory, they also sell web sites to any hapless customer they can get to sign a contract.
The web sites that we checked out were designed dynamically and would never rank well. Consequently, the only traffic they received would be from Thomsons own directory.
The customers that we 'pinched' from them confirmed that this was close to zero. They got more hits from the first 2 weeks with us than the whole year with Thomweb.
We had a Thomweb rep come to see us and try to persuade us to go with them. We agreed to see him because we couldn't believe his cheek - Thomweb selling web marketing to Search Engine Optimisation companies!?!?
In short, the poor guy didn't have any internet knowledge and was selling to a script. Nice guy though, had a good chat with him, he suggested that we might be able to help Thomweb to retain some of their 'many' unhappy customers.
Thats when we looked at how they designed the sites, and said 'sorry, no can do'.
This was a few months ago, unless they made changes since then, I think they have big problems.
