I have seen this - I don't think it is paid inclusion to UK Lycos.

It appears to be advertising cunningly designed as part of the page. WebGravity must be paying some money out for that kind of add.

Lycos UK results currently reflect FAST with a very heavy bias towards .uk and .ie sites

My .co.uk sites are performing well on Lycos.co.uk but .com's seem to disappear off the radar

The fee-paying submit is nothing to do with Lycos UK submission. It is basically an advert to trap the unwary! A bit like WG's other advert at [excite.co.uk...]
