i've recently had a nice polite crawl by mirago co uk ... all my static pages.

has anyone had referals from them? is it worth optimising any pages for them...

their results show paid listings on the top (not sure where from)

I get a small amount of traffic Mirago, certainly nothing to write home about or try to work out an algo for.

I get the feeling it’s only the industry that know of Mirago from some of the advertising they do in the PC mags I’ve seen

Mirago supplies results to Ask UK. Ask is one of my biggest referers. Have a look at the "Insight Results" for a easy method of achieving a top ranking.

Mirago have their own PPC listings. They are not supplied from an external source.

I get a steady flow of traffic from Mirago but I wouldn't bother optimising specifically for them.

I also have their search facility on our main website, but mainly because it looks nice and fits in with our colour scheme.

Insight Results:

Look at the top ranked listing for this Mirago Search [mirago.co.uk].

Not the hardest algo to crack :) . They even tell you about it here [mirago.co.uk].

It doesn't appear to work if there is a paid listing for your search term though.
