Hi All

Does scoot send any traffic to anybody here, and if so what markets has it proved successful in ?

Hi Rusky,

You'll find some information here [webmasterworld.com]
and
here [webmasterworld.com]

Which may help you make up your mind.

It really depends upon the product or service you're offering as to whether the directory is of use.
Perhaps some will come out of the woodwork with positive or negative (Videoman excepted as he's got it in for the uk directories ;) )

Cheers Engine

I had looked at the first post (I do use the search facility before posting :) )

I was just wondering if anybody had more up to date info available.

Business services markets especially

I go off to put some more charcoal on the barbie and engine starts taking a pop at me.;) for me, its what makes the phone ring that counts- getting good B2B traffic has always been difficult with the Div 2 SE's and directories- hence my negative views......and then when they come on the phone and want to charge you a large Wad then its all too much for a simple Essex lad like me.
Incidentally, UK Directory- any takers???? It's in the local newsagents

I've had a Scoot sales person trying to sell me a prime position in their directory.

As it happened I had already been listed with them for several months on the first page for my area and category (due to a lack of other listings) with absolutely no enquiries received!

Their site seems obstructive to finding what you want. It appears to be structured in a way to make it easy for telesales people to earn their commission!
