Try this search Cars - www.google.co.uk [google.co.uk]. Now comes the interesting bit, how do they "decide" which .com's are listed.

Google seems to rate items with the search word/phrase in the domain name highly. So that may be why the number 1 is in place, as for the others it must be a link relevance thing, Jaguar, Rolls/Bentley and MG/Rover are all primarily British organisations, lots of UK enthusiasts have sites for historic Jag/Rolls/Bentley/MG models.

If anyone has any better thoughts let me know

I've seen certain com addresses ;) in the db for sometime. Perhaps there are now more than there used to be, which has brought this to your attention.

It's only Google that is showing this as other Google data available from partners seems filtered.

IP addresses could be one answer.
Additionally, uk links from hubs and authorities could be another.
Or a combination of both.

It's also possible the page is cloaked. ;)
