Mirago Contextual Advertising

They called me today

Someone from Mirago called me today to discuss running contextual ads on my site. I ran a quick search on WebmasterWorld but noone seems to have reported back on how good the returns are.

Does anyone know if the earnings are as good as Adsense?

Also the Adsense TOS prohibit serving ads from competitors that mimic Adsense. I think the Mirago ads look very similar don't you? I'm a little concerned that I might get dropped by Adsense if I serve Mirago ads in sections of my site.

Has anyone run ads from both Mirago and Adsense?

Thanks in advance.

That's right.

You're in one programme, or you're in another.

I'm not sure if the rules have changed, but you used to be able to use other contextual products on the same site, as long as they are not on the same page as adsense ads. You could always rotate them to see what kind of return they give you, although I personally don't think Mirago have a huge number or variety of advertisers.

I have Mirago Context ads on a site - they dont pay aswell as Adsense for me and they dont have the range of advertisers.

It is nice however having the option of them as an alternative.

I think they accept certain topics that adsense does not aswell... Gambling etc

Don't the adsense Terms and Conditions say not to run ads from other programs on pages that have adsense ads? Seem to remember something like that when I signed up my blog for adsense.

It says on the same page so different pages or different sites are not a problem.

As long as you dont have Adsense and Mirago on the same page you are OK.
