Hi Guys,
I have a .com site hosted in the US which currently ranks #1 in both Yahoo.com & msn.com for my target keywords.

However the bulk of my target market is in the UK.

I currently rank #8 in yahoo.co.uk for the same search terms and #32 in msn.co.uk.

If I restrict the search to UK only sites I'm currently off the radar in Yahoo.co.uk & #47 in msn.co.uk

I've just changed to a UK hosting company with an IP which I'm 99% sure both Yahoo and MSN will see as being in the UK.

My questions:
Obviously I’m expecting to be added to the UK only index, but can I expect to get ranking boost in the regular ‘.co.uk’ SERPs given that I’m #1 for both ‘.com’ SERPs?

Or do the UK rankings consider different factors than the .com SERPs?
e.g. links from other UK based sites?

Cheers.

sooooooooo anyway -

MSN have credited my new UK IP and I've received a good boost.

Yahoo however are still yet to discover my new UK IP (even though they've spidered my site many times after the change) so I'm not appearing on the UK only results yet and have had no boost.

No that I'm expecting a reply but if anyone has any idea of the time it takes Y! to credit a new UK IP I'd really appreciate it.
