BeeDeeDubbleU & ncw164x - Nice one thats it!

Now the question is do you have any small tips to rank better in this search?

- More pages?
- Better Internal Anchor text?
- Links (one way or reciprocal?)
- KW in URL?
- on page factors...
- Any others people would like to ask?

Any more information than I have would be of great use.

PS. I have no information about this :)

Well Mirago do get used by a fair amount of partners - traffic aint huge but it is there.

There are various ways of getting listed including PPC, PFI and Free. The Mirago site has the details.

My site is in position six in the Mirago SERPs for my main KW and when I check my stats they suggest that Mirago sends 0.03% of my traffic. Don't book a holiday just yet :o)

BeeDeeDubbleU, was that with the £14 a year or free submit?

BeeDeeDubbleU

Also does that include partners?

rj87uk

To get a feel of the level of traffic it might be worth looking at PPC for a while.

This website has been around since 2003 (though I've never seen any ads).

I wonder why Mirago are promoting it rather than Mirago.co.uk. Different target market perhaps (consumers vs business)? Easier to remember? I like its front page a lot.

Its not really the ideal domain name though - they don't have the .co.uk version (and with "uk" at the start quite a few folk will enter the .co.uk version by mistake).

While Mirago has less traffic than the bigger search engines, most of the posts I've read here seem to suggest that its traffic quality and conversion rates are fairly good.

That is very true. It seems the .co.uk is a domain name parking page, and if my logic is correct then the more people that accidentally type in the .co.uk then the harder or more expensive that name will become.

I would guess that it is a partner/affiliate of Mirago.

Dayo_UK,

That's what I thought at first - but the whois would suggest that Mirago own it themselves.

Oh right. That is different then. Try searching for 'ufindus' in Google to see the bigger picture. I wouldn't touch them with a very long barge pole...

I also saw the ad on TV last night went along to visit the site and it was down for maintenance - either it was suffering big time from a surge of hits or they decided to do some updates straight after a TV ad...

Iomart make a huge amount of money - just go and look at their accounts...

I won't slate them in here but searching for 'iomart forum' etc. could bring up some interesting results.

They have also bought the Easyspace web hosting company.

Thats correct, this is the rebrand of an iomart service called rapidrank.

Its the same old problem, "how do we get people to go for rankings on the major search engines without rankings on the major search engines - I know we create a search engine with no users but drive non-existant traffic through ads which increase our traffic by the same percentage as Ask Jeeves and MSN TV ads that have a huge budget".

If you aren't seeing a massive increase in traffic from AJ and MSN after the ads then you won't from ufindus - the ads are intended for potential advertisers (brand awareness - as seen on TV etc..)

(By the way please delete my post as per every post relating to this type of company in the past)

[edit reason] I'll just cut the irrelevant name dropping - we don't want to publicise them. [/edit]

I rank at number one on mirago for a whole host of different keywords and phrases, does it bring any traffic? nothing over 0.01% according to current logs.

I wouldn't pay too much atention to it to be fair, concentrate on the ones that will give you some traffic for your efforts

I get good ROI from my mirago account, I guess it's about keyword selection and Marketplace
