No Yahoo Express for UK

Only free submissions

Sorry if this is old news, but I did a search and haven't seen it reported. Yahoo UKIE has dropped the Express service, meaning that only free submissions to the directory are allowed.

Our internal user data shows that increasing numbers of UKIE users are going directly to our web search results for their search inquiries. As a result of this continued trend in our user behavior, Yahoo! decided to discontinue the UKIE Express service. The UKIE Express program ceased to exist as of Feb. 25, 2005.

Wow! Big change! But will they retain the same number of editors to assess all the free submissions, or will the directory side just slide now?
