I've been reading disturbing reports about this Seek.net lot.

Seems to me that if people didn't sign up for a basic entry thing, then they might not get hassled.

I got a Free listing with Ask Alix, then was stalked, lol, just couldn't get rid of em.

Constantly badgering people is a very bad practice indeed.

Anyone had any sales/conversions from Seek's site?

Yes I have had response but when I posted this I was accused of working for Seek by Tinky Winky so seems little point in discussing them.
My advice, make you're own decision, if you're not sure about the product don't bother use it. One thing I do know judging a product by the salesperson is not an effective gauge of its value.

Yes, but it makes you wonder why their Management insists on forcing it's staff to act in such a manner.

This goes for all these aggressive sales companies and not just Seek. There are ways of doing sales and most do get it wrong, and should really know better.

In fact, telesales is such an important factor regarding the Search companies/Directories, I'm going to suggest starting a topic on it.

Is judging a product by its sales person wrong?
I know for sure that I and most other people would. The same company that hired the sales person also make/sell the product so perhaps their choice of sales person/technique will, infact directly reflect upon them as a company.
