What do we know about them?

Okay so UK Net Guide has bought the Looksmart UK database and is leasing the domain, that means that they could have a significant potential visitor base.

I must admit that I'd never heard of them before and hadn't even got them on my referral tracking system. (P.S. They are on the system now)

So who are they? How long have they been around?

Also at £45.00 for submission their prices are fairly reasonable, but does this represent good value for our marketing pounds?

They have been around for some time but I doubt that looksmart domain going to make any difference to the traffic. Looksmart UK never been high trafficked site.

I think that they are very commercially orientated and giving PPC and affiliate links higher visibility by keeping those links on first pages. There is question, how many visitors get to the pages where other links are.

UK Net Guide been discussed here few times already, try a search.

You wont get any PR advantage from them, the link url's are redirects, but you can get some direct click thru's from the UK Net Guide traffic base.

I submitted a good site in a service industry with a live in-house quote engine + was rated with 2/5 quality stars and a page 15 out of 16 listing. Straightforward affiliate advert sites came out way ahead of our site. I reckon they push the PPC traffic they run for Mirago + others way above PFI listings.
