I came across this interesting site and thought it was a great example of how much work people will go to in order to create search engine pages using PPC results.

<removed url>

Just look at all thoses index pages at the bottom!

It states its Mirago PLC on the bottom of its pages - is this saying its owned by Mirago or powered by Mirago results?

Either way its very sad that a UK engine with great promise such as Mirago should be invloved in anything like this.

Are they turning into eSpotting? or just being inspired by them!

I will discuss Mirago or espotting with anyone, but lets leave the partner sites out of webmasterworld, this isn't a name and shame forum!

thats the standard parnter feed, so not own by Mirago just the results are provided by mirago.

Mirago isn't involved in this they a providing search results it's down to site owners to provide relevant search terms

from mirago partners TOS :

The site should be designed to a high standard and Mirago listings should be rendered as a result of users devising and instigating specific searches.

Hi DaveN,

It wasnt my intention to name or shame one particular site so apologies for posting the URL, it was rightly removed.

On your other point however, I would have to disagree with you. I belive it is down to and the responsibility of providers be it eSpotting, Mirago or anyone else. And not the site owners.

If the providers did not give their results to these types of sites then these sites wouldnt exist end of story. The problem is at the source and the source are the providers.

eak123, it's about monitoring I guess, it's easy to change a site once you are approved,

I'm not saying that happended here ....

But you could for example have a semi sucessful site without all the access points and site maps, but you decide that for a few months you will let google know all your pages, you know give them a helping hand so to speak ;). once all the pages indexed then remove or bury the entry points / feeder points.
