we are operating an online shop based in the UK, and have been SEOing the site as best we can.
this has been paying off recently with some decent listings in the global results of various engines, but often (google excluded in most cases) when the UK only box is ticked we are no where to be seen...
anyone any ideas why this might be happening?
how do we let the engines know we are UK based -
(we have a .net domain name)
really we want to be better in the UK only searches than in the global searches (would you agree?) as this is by far our main market.
any help, tips, info greatly appreciated...
also - anyone know of a page that lists which search engines the various UK portals are using for their search results..?
take it easy peeps - and thanks for your help

You've got the same problem as many find.
Read this thread about getting a UK site listed in the UK SERPS [webmasterworld.com] at least twice.
