Back in March Google acquired @Last Software, makers of the 3D sketching program SketchUp. Following the acquisition Google released a free version of SketchUp, but only for Windows users. Now the company has countered with a free Mac version of SketchUp (http://sketchup.google.com/download.html) as well.

Used by landscape designers, architects and others, SketchUp can be used to create and visualize 3D ideas. You can push and pull on 3D objects until you've got the right shape; experiment with colour and texture; use real-time shadowcasting and even use a library of pre-drawn components to save time.

Thanks engine, I just downloaded that and am looking forward to having some fun with it! I have been trying to draw a house (dreaming) and just wasn't able to get the perspectives righ. (I am a terrible artist). This should be fun!

Hmmmm, do you have to reinstall everytime you want to use the programme? Or am I doing something wrong?
