I installed dreamweaver 4 on my Mac OS X with no problem, but when I tried to open it, sropdown window says to insert disc. I found out that newly installed dreamweaver 4 Could not locate the Resources file. I ran Mac OS 9, then I installed OS X. Dreamweaver 4 would not work with Mac OS X, but I left OS 9 on hard disc and my old other softwares Illustrator, Photoshop work fine except Dreamweaver 4. Anyone had a problem like that, or know how to fix the problem. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Best advice I can offer is to fork over the $199 upgrade price for DW8 and run that natively under OSX. DW4 is so old and out of date, it should be consigned to the trash bin of history.

I'm not sure what you've done - it looks like you tried to install it using MacOs X, or perhaps Classic.

I had a machine that would boot OS9 native, and I successfully installed DW4 in OS9, then fired up OSX and was able to run it in Classic, apart from the Help, which always presented a blank screen.

But I concur - a native version is *so* much better, you'll never regret it.
