Hi everyone

Can anyone help me? I've recently purchased an imac G5 with Tiger operating system and Mac mail version 2.

Until today my mailbox was set-up as follows; mail-headers in a box at the top and then underneath, a seperate box with the actual messages in.
If I wanted to view an individual message, I just put the cursor on the relevant header in the top box and the message appeared in the box below.

I've inadvertently changed the mail-box format and now there is a list of mail headers and if I want to read one of the messages, I have to click on it twice and it opens in a separate window. I want to go back to the previous format but I can't work out how to do it.

Any advice would be very gratefully received.

Look for a bar at the bottom of the header window. If you double-click that it will bring back the preview window.

I actually just stumbled across double-clicking it; because, I couldn't find the setting in any of the menus.

I had the same issue a while back - its funny to me that we all seem to be trained by the standard somewhat MS standard windows setting methods that "squishy" window bars are the last thing we expect.
