Ive recently started looking after 50 G5 Power macs top of the shelf stuff, there only on a workgroup and only access the internet, were not setup to full intergrate them with server 2003 yet but would like to one day. What i need to know is how to image the hard drive and also restore? I know i can do this with ghost on a pc but is there a similar product for mac?

also are they easy to retore?

Every Mac has Disk Utility preinstalled at:

/Applications/Utilites/

It's what you need to image and restore drives. It can also be used to fix file permissions and a number of other problems.

As far as integrating w/ your 2003 Server.. how fun ;) Be sure to search the forum; because, there are a few common issues.

You may want to look into a program called NetRestore. I know a few teachers that use this with their networked labs at school and they consider it indispensable.
