I had installed Microsoft FrontPage 1.0, along with the up-date that is required, onto my Macintosh system. I am running OS 9.2.2. I also installed OS 10.3.9 on one of the partitions I had made.
The problem is:
Every time I try to launch the FrontPage program, on System 9.2.2, I continue getting this error message:
The application "FrontPage Explorer" could not open because "MicrosoftPortabilityLib--_PopupTracking" could not be found. You may need to install a newer version of "MicrosoftPortabilityLib--_PopupTracking"
So, I tried launching one of the web sites I created and the error message is different. It states:
The application "FrontPage Explorer" could not open because "MicrosoftPortabilityLib--_CalclnsertAfter" could not be found. You may need to install a newer version of "MicrosoftPortabilityLib--_CalclnsertAfter"
I tried everything, from checking all my extensions, one by one, -to- going on the web for info. No success! Is anyone familiar with this error message? I'm wondering if I could possibly have a virus in my system!
If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it! I'm at my wits end!
Thanks!

You are using an antiquated program, on an antiquated system. I am wondering if you have tried booting straight into OS 9, instead of using it in Classic? There is a difference. I have had some OS 9 apps in the past fail under Classic, however one the machine was booted directly into OS 9 it worked smoothly. If you have a G5, of course you won't be able to do this and then all I can suggest is an OS X app, such as Dreamweaver. There are fewer and fewer applications supporting OS 9, and quite frankly, Frontpage for 9 was never really that great anyway. I cringe every tome someone says "I have a problem, I am using OS 9..."
Simple fix? Use X
Hard fix? Use Windows
