What, should I have written Mac to phone, or does nobody use internet telephony?

I looked at this a couple of years ago but with the drop in long-distance pricing, it really was not worth it.
A lot of people are doing web-cam and audio, but there really no commercial market for this.
Are you interested in this as a marketable service or for private usage?

Just signed up for a ADSL service, and am looking to minimise phone charges, Came across a lot of info on this dating from 1999-2000, but nothing very recent. Most of the mac software available seems quite old.
