I need to get another web and db server and since the Apple is using FreeBSD as the OS, and comes with a Dual G4, and a useable GUI to Apache etc.,
I'm actually considering it.

mySql is pre-installed, and Tomcat is available as is iASP for ASP applications.

Has anyone used one or has comments on one?

Thanks.

This server is on my list and may very well be my next server. It has the macintosh advantages, the nice updates both graphical remote admin and ssh support, with all the stuff installed I see no reason why not. The price is a bit more than the other servers on the market.

Im in the same boat as you are, a friend of mine tried one and he liked them, but i think he said they were loud because of all the cooling fans, if its not in yer bedroom there isnt any problems now is there ;)
