Current Included Browsers

...and other "bundled" apps

A friend asked me what web browsers were included on a Mac Mini. Apple's page for the Mac Mini only mentions Safari. So they stopped including MSIE finally?

Moreover, what's the best resource (short of asking on this forum) for finding out what software is included on which Macs? Is there a more exhaustive list that Apple's software product pages, e.g., [apple.com ]?

And if it's true Apple does not include Firefox with new Macs, can we talk them into it?

I just fired up remote desktop and this is what I found in the applications folder of my mini:

Applications:  Address Book, Applescript Studio, Appleworks, Calculator, Chess, DVD Player, Font Book, Garageband, iCal, iChat, iDVD, Image Capture, iMovie, Internet Explorer, iPhoto, iSync, iTunes, Mail, Marble Blast Gold, Nanosaur 2, Preview, Quicken 2005, Quicktime Player, Safari, Sherlock, Stickies, TextEdit, Zinio Reader

Plus all the utilities. Keep in mind that list changes periodically without notice and the install CD doesn't always include them all. (Oh and some of those are the less capable cousins of their paid versions.)

...and the included software lists on Apple's product pages are clearly incomplete. Sounds like something that would really annoy an IT director. Ah well.

Thanks for the info, whois'.
