hello, i signed up a few weeks ago with a couple of questions and now i have another.

my roommate accidentally deleted the printer from the computer, and now im having trouble reinstalling it. when i go to the printer setup utility and click add it says that a new driver was found but when i go to my printer from the dropdown menu nothing is there. ive downloaded the driver from the company's website and when that didn't work i installed it again from the CD.

so how do i get my printer to work again?
